Greyhounds

Aside from the following special betting rules, the common betting rules apply. The special rules will take precedence over the common rules nevertheless.

1.) General Greyhound Rules: Unless a player selects the show or, where available, the early price, all bets on Greyhound racing will be settled at the SP. In the event that no official SP is returned or in the event that no price is taken, then all SP bets will be settled according to the last Industry show passed. Greyhound names, where shown, are displayed for information only, with all bets being settled on the trap number. The only exception to this are early price races.

2.) Settlement: All races will be settled according to the official result, as soon as it is confirmed through announcement or on a display. Any subsequent disqualifications will not count for settlement purposes. In the event of a meeting not starting, or no starter reaching the end of the race, all bets are void and the stake will be paid back (odd: 1.00). Where a 'no-race' is declared and is subsequently re-run bets are settled on the re-run.

Should a Greyhound be withdrawn from any race where Early Prices have been quoted all bets struck on that selection will be made VOID and bets struck on the remaining runners will be settled at SP. If a reserve dog runs, all bets stand; however, if an early price is taken and that selection subsequently becomes a non-runner then all bets at that early price are void. The finishing positions of any of these reserves will count whether they are priced or not. If the selection is withdrawn, then all bets on it will be void. In the case of a dead heat between two or more selections, the stake will be divided by the number dead heating.

3.) Abandoned/Postponed Information: If a race takes place on a different venue, then all bets placed on the race before the announcement will be void.

4.) Race Winner: Select the winner of the race.

5.) Each Way (E/W): Each Way Terms:

2-4 Runners – Win Only
5-6 Runners - ¼ Odds 1-2
Each-way accumulative bets are settled win-to-win and place-to-place.

6.) Forecast: A forecast bet requires you to nominate the first and second in correct order. Forecast bets are accepted in Greyhound races of 3 or more runners only. Bets are settled in accordance with the computerised SP forecast return and dividends are declared to a One unit stake. Un-named favourites are not accepted in forecast bets.

In the event of two or more Greyhounds dead heating for first or second place, separate dividends will be declared and for each combination and paid to each qualifying forecast.

Should a non–runner be selected in a forecast bet the bet will be settled as a WIN single on the remaining selection at the returned SP odds. In the case of reversed or combination forecast bets all bets will be treated separately taking into consideration the rule that applies where a non–runner occurs in any part of the bet.

7.)Tricast: A Tricast requires you to pick the first three to finish in correct order. All bets are settled in accordance with the computerized returned SP Tricast return and dividends are declared to a One unit stake. If a Tricast bet is accepted on a race where no Tricast dividend is declared all bets will be settled as a forecast bet on the first two nominated selections. In a Tricast bet containing two non-runners all bets will be settles as a win single on the remaining selection. In the event of two or more Greyhounds dead heating for first, second or third places, separate dividends will be declared for each combination and paid to each qualifying Tricast.

8.) Head-to-Head Bets (H2H): The selection which finishes highest up the field is the winner. If one or both selections is/are withdrawn or is/are deemed as “non-runner(s)”, then all bets on this market will be void.

9.) Selected Greyhound to Win / Not to Win: If the selection is withdrawn or deemed a “non-runner”, then all bets on this market will be void.

10.) Favourite to Win / Not to Win: If the favourite is withdrawn or deemed a “non-runner”, then all bets on this market will be void.

11.) Winning Distance (Over/Under): The winning distance between the first and second placed greyhound makes up the final result. In case of void races all bets on this market will be void.

12.) Winning Trap Number Odd/Even: If the race ends in a “Dead Heat” of one selection with an odd trap number and the other selection with an even one, then the “Dead Heat” rule applies.

13.) 3 Way Trap options (all listed traps must run): If one trap does not start for whatever reason, all bets will be void.
